At Seniors Helping Seniors® Northern Waukesha County Supportive Care Services, we have a passion for meeting the needs of seniors in a way that provides both dignity and a sense of camaraderie. Our owner(s) Carol Ralian, Karl Ralian firmly believe we can do that through serving seniors in our community, which includes: Waukesha, Menomonee Falls, Brookfield, and surrounding communities.
Karl and Carol Ralian, owners of Seniors Helping Seniors in-home care throughout Northern Waukesha County are childhood sweethearts who have dedicated their lives to giving to others. Throughout their life together they have focused a lot of their energy on the needs of their community. With the opening of Seniors Helping Seniors care they are taking that spirit and inspiring others to do the same. Seniors Helping Seniors care matches seniors who want to help with seniors who need a little help. This peer-to-peer assistance allows seniors in need to receive care from someone they can trust. At the same time, seniors who want to help can remain active in their community and oftentimes form strong friendships with the senior for whom they are providing care.
“Seniors Helping Senior care is our way of brightening the lives of others. It’s a dream come true for us to be able to bring joy into the lives of older adults and provide meaningful work for other seniors,” said Carol. “This is a truly beautiful way of offering support, bringing together people who have similar life experiences and values to support and nurture one another,” she continued. The senior providers who work with Karl and Carol offer many private duty in-home care services including: Companionship Light housekeeping Laundry Meal preparation Grocery and personal shopping Overnight stays (24-hour care) Medication reminders Personal grooming Transportation Doctor’s appointments Holiday decorating Provider couples Prior to starting Seniors Helping Seniors in-home care, Karl and Carol started the charity Worldwide Hunger Relief, which provides nutritionally complete meals to malnourished children in the US and around the world. So far more than five million children and families have been fed through their program. “We are extremely proud that Worldwide Hunger Relief has helped so many children in need,” said Karl. “We are just as excited to take our energy and put it towards caring for seniors in Northern Waukesha County.”
In 1990 Carol’s mother suffered a massive stroke leaving her paralyzed on her left side. During the next five years, Carol, her stepfather and sister attended to her daily needs. Providing care for her mother was challenging for her entire family, but it became clear to Carol that her mothers last years were more positive because she was able to stay at home. “Our goal with Seniors Helping Seniors home care is to be a support for families to turn to when their loved one needs that extra assistance,” said Carol. “By getting the help needed for day-to-day tasks, sons, daughters, husbands and wives can enjoy quality time with their aging loved one, rather than just have time to be a caregiver.”
